You are hereby notified that on the 14th day of March, 2024, Justin Dean Berry, filed in this Court a Petition for Adoption of H. A. C. a minor, whose date of birth is May 6, 2017, and for a change of the name of the minor to H. A. B. This Court, located at Mercer County Courthouse, 101 N. Main Street, Room 307, Celina, Ohio, 45822 will hear the petition on the 3rd day of June, 2024, at 11:00 o'clock A.M. to determine whether consent of the parent is required.

It is alleged in the petition, pursuant to R.C. 3107.07, that the consent of Lewis Lee Patterson is not required due to the following:

That person is a parent who has failed without justifiable cause to provide more than de minimis contact with the minor for a period of at least one year immediately preceding the filing of the adoption petition or the placement of the minor in the home of the petitioner.

That person is a parent who has failed without justifiable cause to provide for the maintenance and support of the minor as required by law or judicial decree for a period of at least one year immediately preceding the filing of the adoption petition or the placement of the minor in the home of the petitioner.

State other grounds under R.e. 3107.07 (includes putative father of the minor born prior to January 1, 1997).

"A FINAL DECREE OF ADOPTION, IF GRANTED, WILL RELIEVE YOU OF ALL PARENTAL RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO CONTACT THE MINOR, AND, EXCEPT WITH RESPECT TO A SPOUSE OF THE ADOPTION PETITIONER AND RELATIVES OF THAT SPOUSE, TERMINATE ALL LEGAL RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE MINOR AND YOU AND THE MINOR'S OTHER RELATIVES, SO THAT THE MINOR THEREAFTER IS A STRANGER TO YOU AND THE MINOR'S FORMER RELATIVES FOR ALL PURPOSES. IF YOU WISH TO CONTEST THE ADOPTION, YOU MUST FILE AN OBJECTION TO THE PETITION WITHIN FOURTEEN DAYS AFTER PROOF OF SERVICE OF NOTICE OF THE FILING OF THE PETITION AND OF THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING IS GIVEN TO YOU. IF YOU WISH TO CONTEST THE ADOPTION, YOU MUST ALSO APPEAR AT THE HEARING. A FINAL DECREE OF ADOPTION MAY BE ENTERED IF YOU FAIL TO FILE AN OBJECTION TO THE ADOPTION PETITION OR APPEAR AT THE HEARING."

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the County of Mercer will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Mercer County Commissioners Office, Central Services Building, 220 West Livingston Street, Room A201, Celina, Ohio.

Based on both citizen input and local officials' assessment of the county's needs, the county is proposing to undertake the following Revolving Loan Fund activity:

The county intends to loan the amount of $125,000 to S3B Family LLC dba Daylight Donuts for the purchase of equipment to operate a donut shop to be built at 222 W. Logan St., Celina. Daylight Donuts will create 5 FTE jobs, of which 3 will be offered to or made available to LMI persons; which meets the National Objective.

The total project cost will be $736,322 with funds coming from Revolving Loan Fund of $125,000; Equity $175,000 and Private Lender $436,322. 

This second public hearing is being held to give citizens an adequate opportunity to review and comment on the county's proposed application, before the loan is approved.

The final Permit may be appealed.
