At 459 PM EDT, gusty showers were located along a line extending from near Ada to near Northridge, moving east at 25 mph. Some of these showers are capable of producing funnel clouds and isolated thunder.
HAZARD...Funnel clouds and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include... Marysville, Bellefontaine, Urbana, Kenton, Ada, Plain City, Richwood, St. Paris, West Liberty, Mechanicsburg, North Lewisburg, Forest, Russells Point, De Graff, Lakeview, Dunkirk, Alger, Belle Center, West Mansfield, and Chippewa Park.
Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the National Weather Service.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.

Virginia Carter
Virginia Mae Carter, Celina, died at 2:40 p.m. Dec. 30, 2011, at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born April 4, 1931, in Lima, to LeRoy and Golda May Goodwin Rupert. She married Gerald Chrisman, who survives. She then married Eugene Carter, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are five children, Candise Snyder, Troy, Diane (John) Kochert, Celina, Holly Ann Waltz, Portland, Ind., Gerald "Gary" Chrisman, Jenison, Mich., and Timothy Chrisman, Celina; two brothers, William (Barbara) Rupert, Xenia, Michael (Irene) Rupert, Framingham, Mass.; a half-sister, Debra (Dean) Kile, Phoenix, Ariz; two half-brothers, Jack (Nancy) Rupert, Galveston, Texas, and Douglas (Lori) Rupert, New Knoxville; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two siblings, Janet Seibert and Leon Rupert.
She was a homemaker and a poet.
Services were 2 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. William Maki officiating. Burial followed at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Fund.
