* WHAT...For the Blowing Dust Advisory, visibility between one-quarter and one mile in blowing dust. For the High Wind Warning, west winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
* WHERE...Auglaize, Hardin, and Mercer Counties.
* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to reduced visibility. Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Very strong wind gusts and dry soil is leading to areas of blowing dust across the area. This is causing visibility to be reduced to one mile or less in localized area.
Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibility. Slow down and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
As winds slowly decrease late this afternoon into the evening, blowing dust should diminish.

Elsie Snider

Elsie M. Snider, 87, Celina, died at 11:50 a.m. Dec. 31, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center.

She was born March 18, 1924, in Muskingum, to Roy and Grace Kroft Young. On July 4, 1943, she married Russell W. Snider, who survives.

Also surviving are four children, Dale (Peg) Snider, Mendon, Ron (Marlene) Snider, Celina, Peggy (Joe) Severt, Celina, and Kathleen Snider, Celina; siblings, Bill (Wanda) Young, Colorado, James (Roberta) Young, Florida, Lois (Delbert) Shackle, Sommerfield; a sister-in-law, Jane Young, Florida; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Deceased are two siblings, Marvin Young and Patricia Miller.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Celina, and its Ladies Circle. She worked at Mayfair Motel, Mendon.

Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina. Burial will follow at a later date at Zion Ridge Cemetery in Perry County.

Calling is 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
