At 459 PM EDT, gusty showers were located along a line extending from near Ada to near Northridge, moving east at 25 mph. Some of these showers are capable of producing funnel clouds and isolated thunder.
HAZARD...Funnel clouds and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include... Marysville, Bellefontaine, Urbana, Kenton, Ada, Plain City, Richwood, St. Paris, West Liberty, Mechanicsburg, North Lewisburg, Forest, Russells Point, De Graff, Lakeview, Dunkirk, Alger, Belle Center, West Mansfield, and Chippewa Park.
Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the National Weather Service.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.

Cecelia Whitmer
Cecelia Elizabeth Whitmer, 93, Celina, died at 8:25 a.m. Feb. 3, 2012, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born Oct. 28, 1918, in Denver, Colo., to Sven and Esther (Allspach) Vegelin. On July 24, 1943, she married Lewis Whitmer, who died July 29, 2006.
Surviving are two brothers, Carl Kroger and Lawrence Kroger, both of Troy; five sisters, Charlotte Biles, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Marjorie Kuhns, Dayton; and Janet Walpole, Esther Lamka and Rosalie Calvert, all of Troy.
She graduated from Troy High School in 1936, and the University of Cincinnati in 1938. She was the secretary for CBS Auto Parts in Celina for 20 years. She was a member of Phi Beta Psi fraternity, Iota Gamma Chapter, Alturian Club and the Mercer County Elks Ladies Golf Association.
Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, with Rev. Paul Calvert officiating. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
