At 459 PM EDT, gusty showers were located along a line extending from near Ada to near Northridge, moving east at 25 mph. Some of these showers are capable of producing funnel clouds and isolated thunder.
HAZARD...Funnel clouds and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include... Marysville, Bellefontaine, Urbana, Kenton, Ada, Plain City, Richwood, St. Paris, West Liberty, Mechanicsburg, North Lewisburg, Forest, Russells Point, De Graff, Lakeview, Dunkirk, Alger, Belle Center, West Mansfield, and Chippewa Park.
Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the National Weather Service.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.

David Schmitt
David S. Schmitt, 62, Fort Recovery, died Feb. 5, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born March 11, 1949, in Celina to Joseph and Beatrice Lauber Schmitt, who are deceased. On June 11, 1988, he married Vivian Thobe, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, David R. Schmitt, Fort Recovery; a daughter, Alison Schmitt, Fort Recovery; five sisters, Joann Vormohr, Portland, Ind., Rosemarie (John) Molnar, Cincinnati, Sister Bernadette Schmitt, Cincinnati, Mary Schmitt, Dayton, and Barbara (Richard) Yannelli, Massapequa Park, N.Y.; four brothers, Joseph (Kathy) Schmitt, Cleveland, John (Colleen) Schmitt, Sidney, Edward (Barbara) Schmitt, Fennville, Mich., and Dennis (Gina) Schmitt, Cambridge, Wisc.; a mother-in-law Virginia Thobe, Maria Stein; two sisters-in-law, Cindy (Randy) Grapner, Celina, and Joyce (Pete) Hierholzer, Celina; five brothers-in-law, Terry (Sue) Thobe, Chickasaw, PJ (Carla) Thobe, Maria Stein, Glen (Ann) Thobe, Celina, Gregg (Lisa) Thobe, New Bremen, and Chris (Marilyn) Thobe, Celina.
Deceased are a sister, Virginia Beckert; two brothers-in-law, Joseph Vormohr, Michael Thobe; and father-in-law, Harold "Whitey" Thobe.
He was a 1967 graduate of Campion Jesuit High School, Prairie Duchien, Wisc., and a 1972 graduate of Xavier University, Cincinnati, with a bachelor of science in business administration. He owned and operated Schmitt Fur Farm in Fort Recovery.
He was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, and Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge, Celina.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn Officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
