At 459 PM EDT, gusty showers were located along a line extending from near Ada to near Northridge, moving east at 25 mph. Some of these showers are capable of producing funnel clouds and isolated thunder.
HAZARD...Funnel clouds and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include... Marysville, Bellefontaine, Urbana, Kenton, Ada, Plain City, Richwood, St. Paris, West Liberty, Mechanicsburg, North Lewisburg, Forest, Russells Point, De Graff, Lakeview, Dunkirk, Alger, Belle Center, West Mansfield, and Chippewa Park.
Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the National Weather Service.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.

Frederick Cook
Frederick J. Cook, 79, St. Marys, died Feb. 6, 2012, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
He was born Feb. 16, 1932, in Auglaize County, to Hugh and Gertrude Schneider Cook. On July 3, 1952, he married Patricia Ann Wurster, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Mark (Mary) Cook, Springboro, and Dennis (Barb) Cook and Dan (Robin) Cook, all of St. Marys; three siblings, Richard Cook, Wapakoneta, Kathryn (Perry) McBride, St. Marys, and Shirley (Ed) Springer, Wapakoneta; and 10 grandchildren.
A 1950 graduate of New Knoxville High School, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
He retired from the Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant.
He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and VFW Post, both in St. Marys. He had also served on the auxiliary unit of the St. Marys Police Department.
Service is 11 a.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial with full graveside military honors will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
