Lewis Greene Jr.
Lewis G. "Lewie" Greene Jr., 75, Celina died at 10:30 p.m. Feb. 19, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Dec. 20, 1936, in Pineville, Ky., to Lewis Sr. and Rhoda Gibbons Greene. On July 6, 1963, he married Janet Bollenbacher, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Angela (Glenn) Gebele, Annapolis, Md., and Andrea (Jeff) Santa, Pickerington; three siblings, William (Anna) Greene, Indiana, Lois Kimbly, California, and Mary Watkins, Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Betty Wale, Celina, and Karen (Dave) Doner, West Virginia; a brother-in-law, Tom (Kathy) Bollenbacher, North Carolina; and four grandchildren.
Deceased are seven siblings; six half-brothers; and a grandchild.
He was a graduate of Bell County High School in Kentucky and had retired from New Idea, Coldwater, after 44 years of service. He was a U. S. Army veteran and had coached softball for many years.
He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Rockford.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Catherine Costello officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, and one hour before service Thursday at the church.
