Ethel Roberts

Ethel N. Roberts, age 93, a resident of Union City in Jay County passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Mercer Health in Coldwater, Ohio.

Ethel was born March 13, 1923, in Jay County, Indiana, the daughter of Alexander and Anna (Pruitt) Denney.

She attended Madison Township School. She retired from Fort Recovery Industries after 25 years.

She married Amos Roberts on July 19, 1941 and he passed away on August 12, 1995.

Survivors include: 2 Sons: Joe (wife Donna) Roberts - Union City, Indiana; Douglas (wife Vickie) Roberts - Union City, Ohio; 3 Daughters: Frances (husband Jimmie) Newton - Greenwood, Florida; Joyce (husband Jerry) Kremer - Celina, Ohio; Bonnie (husband Rick) Nichols - Portland, Indiana; 1 Brother: Raymond (wife Helen) Powell - Union City, Indiana; 1 Sister: Anita Fields - Union City, Indiana; 20 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren and several Great Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Pastor Dennis Kelley will officiate the service. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on the Jay Randolph county line.

Memorials may be directed to State of the Heart Hospice or Midwest Pet Refuge. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
