* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, Kentucky, including the following counties, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and Ohio, including the following counties, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.
* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.

Daniel Meiring
Daniel Thomas Meiring, 47, of Troy, Ohio, formerly of Sharpsburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at his home. He was born on January 27, 1974, in Coldwater, Ohio, to Audrey Jean (Gehle) Meiring of Sharpsburg and the late Tom Meiring.
In addition to his father, Dan was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Miller, and his brother-in-law, Richard Lamprecht.
Dan was a 1992 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for many years, most recently at St. Henry Tile. Dan loved airplanes, especially radio-controlled WWII Warbirds. He was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and the Celina Flying Sportsmen club. He enjoyed traveling all over with his family and was a frequent visitor of Litchfield Beach, South Carolina.
Along with his mother, Dan is survived by his wife, Angela Meiring, whom he married on October 6, 2005; his stepchildren, Caitlin Penic of Troy, Alexandria (AJ) Bryant of Troy, Mikayla Penic of Long Beach Mississippi, and Emily Maloney of Troy; his step-grandchildren, Talon, Peyton, Vanek, Deno, and Kellin; his siblings, Linda (Wayne) Peck, D.V.M. of Midland, North Carolina, Diana Zitter of Columbus, James Meiring of Sharpsburg, Katherine (John) Zitter, of Huntington, West Virginia, John Meiring of Sharpsburg, Elizabeth (Patrick) Buschur of Fairfield, Ohio, Donald (Patricia) Meiring of Osgood, Jerry (Kristine) Meiring of Delaware, Ohio, and Michael (Pamela) Meiring of Columbus; and his brother-in-law, Dan Miller of Farmington Hills, Michigan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 517 Meiring Road, Fort Recovery, Ohio 45846. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery.
The family invites everyone to join them after the Mass for a reception of friends and Celebration of Life at St. Paul's Church Hall.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Dan Meiring Memorial Fund through the Fort Recovery Foundation, P.O. Box 52, Fort Recovery, Ohio 45846. Dan had a heart for children and admired those who received proton radiation treatments, like himself. These funds will be used towards The Proton Therapy Center at Cincinnati Children's.
