John Albers
John W. Albers, 96, 4362 Botkins Road, Celina, died at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 20, 2006, at The Gardens at St. Henry.
He was born Aug. 12, 1910, in Maria Stein, to Henry and Mary Roetgerman Albers. On April 18, 1936, he married Regina R. Bergman, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Thomas (Carmela), of Kent; a sister, JoAnne Peay, Columbus; a son-in-law, Ralph Rethman, Versailles; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two daughters, Rosemary Albers and Marleise Rethman; three brothers, Herbert, Alfred and Ed; three sisters, Ida Schaaf, Marcella Burris and Bertha Wright; and a grandchild.
He was a farmer and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. James Dugal officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
