Alice Bowsher
Alice C. Bowsher, 93, of Lima, died at 1:25 p.m. Oct. 21, 2006, at Lima Convalescent Home.
She was born Feb. 3, 1913, in Allen County, to Fredrick and Edith Anderson Lawrence. On Aug. 28, 1932, she married Ardrey R. Bowsher, who died April 27, 1961.
Survivors are a brother, Carl (Helen) Lawrence, Cridersville; a sister, Martha Boogher, Lima; a daughter-in-law, Betty, Celina; two sisters-in-law, Eunice Lawrence, Atlanta, Ga., and Evelyn Lawrence, Huntington, Ind.; three grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Lester E.; and four brothers, Vernon, Cloyd, George and Leroy Lawrence.
She worked as a teller for Huntington National Bank for 27 years, retiring in 1978. She first worked at Autokraft Box Corp. and at Westinghouse during World War II. She was a member of First Baptist Church and its Good Cheer Class, Lima.
Services are 3 p.m. Wednesday at Chaberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, the Rev. George Pirtle officiating. Burial is at St. Matthews Cemetery, Lima.
Calling is after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
