Aaron Goodwin
St. Marys native and former Celina resident Aaron Goodwin, 77, of Brownwood, Texas, died at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 12, 2006, at his daughter's home in San Angelo, Texas.
He was born Dec. 21, 1928, in St. Marys, to Aaron and Dana O. Apgar Goodwin. On Aug. 3, 1963, he married Ruth Cullen, who died in 2001.
Survivors are a daughter, Bobbie Goodwin Luth, San Angelo; a stepson, Michael Cullen, St. Paul, Minn.; three stepdaughters, Dona Culbertson and Theresa Taylor, both of Celina, and Shari (Gene) Forsyth, San Angelo; five brothers, Lloyd, Albert and Louis, all of St. Marys, Larry, of Kentucky, and Bob, Dayton; a sister, Judy Taylor, St. Marys; six grandchildren, three great-grandsons and some great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, James and Vale; four sisters, Rosemary Osting, Betty Dunlap, Ruth Baroody and Shirley Oblivee.
He was most recently a truck driver and mechanic in Texas, and previously was a foreman at Ohio Tank Company, Fremont. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1944-1949 and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Salem Cemetery, Brown County, Texas. There is no calling.
Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home, San Angelo.
