Adolph Dorsten
Adolph "Red" N. Dorsten, 88, of Riverside, died Feb. 4, 2007, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
He was born Dec. 30, 1918, in Montezuma to Theodore and Josephine Bruggeman Dorsten. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Ann Wilker Dorsten, Riverside.
Surviving are a son, Dale (Pam) Dorsten, Beavercreek; two daughters, Nancy (Ray) Howell, Riverside, and Phyllis (David) Howard, Huber Heights; two sisters, Rosella Gast and Alfreda Sanning, both of Coldwater; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Gary.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII, and retired from NCR, Dayton. He was a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars Post #657, American Legion Post #675, 37th Division Veterans Association and St. Helen Catholic Church, Dayton.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, with a VFW service at 7 p.m., at Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel. Prayers will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
