* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, Kentucky, including the following counties, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and Ohio, including the following counties, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.
* WHEN...Through Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional storms will move into the area after midnight, persisting through late Friday morning. Heavy rain can be expected with these storms, with the risk of flash flooding increasing with storms that repeatedly move over the same locations.

John Nichols
John W. Nichols, 71, Rockford, died Feb. 5, 2007, at his residence.
He was born July 13, 1935, in Sewell, Ky., to Hobert and Beulah Williams Nichols. On Jan. 19, 1957, he married Norma Jean Carpenter, who survives.
Surviving are two sons, John (Patty), Rockford, and Les (Cheryl), Celina; four daughters, Lillian (Robert) Denney and Jeanie (Dale) Smith, all of Rockford, Rita (John) Huey, Mendon, and Laura (Marty) Martin, Decatur, Ind.; 13 grandchildren, seven step grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Kenny; three brothers, Sam, Russell and Raymond; and two sisters, Stella Grimes and Helen McDonald.
He retired working for the town of Rockford and also worked for Willshire elevator and CTS, Berne, Ind.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Armon Nichlos officiating. Burial will follow at Willshire Cemetery, Willshire.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
