Celina city officials have decided against buying the former bank building on West Market Street, the second time in recent years they have rejected the idea.
That means the Celina Police Department won't be getting a new home anytime soon. Those who favored the proposal wanted to move the police department to the current utilities office and the utilities and administration staff into the former bank building. [More]

A St. Marys woman was killed Saturday night after losing control of her car on a snow-covered Mercer County roadway while returning home after helping an elderly uncle and aunt.
A Mendon man has been charged in connection with a Jan. 17 traffic accident that claimed the life of a Minster woman along U.S. 127, south of Celina.
Meanwhile, authorities will not pursue charges in a March 2 traffic accident that resulted in the death of a Celina-area man.
Council set to meet today at 5 p.m.
Celina city officials plan to resume a yearlong discussion on a potential property maintenance code, talks that are now overshadowed by the development of a statewide property maintenance code.
A Piqua teen, enroute to a bachelorette party in St. Henry, remains in critical condition at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton following a Friday night accident in rural Mercer County.
