Mary Matthews
Mary Ellen Matthews, 86, 8525 Howick Road, Celina, died at 9:20 a.m. Feb. 10, 2008, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born March 6, 1921, in Van Wert County to Glenn R. Sr. and Leah Mottinger Matthews.
Survivors are a brother, James I. (Beverly), Celina; three sisters, Margaret McBride, Brookville, Norma Jean (Milton) Davidson, Celina, and Marilyn (Gary) Stewart, Ruskin, Fla.
Deceased is a sister, Judy K. Menchhofer; a brother, Glenn R. Matthews Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Don McBride.
She had worked at the former Barr Company in Celina for many years and was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church, Celina, where she taught Sunday school, was a church song leader and was a member of the United Methodist Women of the church.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Don Ricard officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
