Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Richard Selhorst
Richard C. Selhorst, 78, of 3640 Coldwater Creek Road, Coldwater, died at 9:41 a.m. May 27, 2008, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born May 20, 1930 in Carthagena to Aloys and Mary Wynk Selhorst. On Nov. 21, 1959, he married Grace Mescher, who died Aug. 11, 2003.
Surviving are a son, Keith (Bobbi), Coldwater; a sister, Erma Rosengarten, Dayton; and three grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Rogene and her husband Clarence Wenning; and a brother-in-law, Louis Rosengarten.
He retired from farming and was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Carthagena, and its men's Sodality, the American Legion, and Fraternal Order of Eagles, both in Coldwater. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
