Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Wanda Shively
Wanda M. Shively, 87, of St. Marys, died at 12:45 p.m. May 27, 2008, at the Golden Living Center-Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys.
She was born Feb. 26, 1921, in Celina, to Rie and Ethel Snider Brown. On March 15, 1942, she married Edwin Shively, who died May 5, 1988.
Surviving are three daughters, Judy (Wayne) Schroer and Candice (Michael) Kuck, all of St. Marys, and Debra Price, Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Donald Brown, New Knoxville, and Paul Brown, Celina; three grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Alma Linn.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
