* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Northwestern Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* WHEN...Until 1045 PM EDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 421 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area, with numerous roads remaining closed due to high water. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

Eugene Wendel
Eugene A. "Gene" Wendel, 57, of 14234 Disher Road, New Weston, died July 26, 2008, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, following an apparent heart attack.
He was born Nov. 3, 1950, in Celina, to Arthur and Bernadine "Bernie" Drees Wendel. His mother survives in New Weston. On July 30, 1994, he married Lois Burton, who survives.
Other survivors are three sons, Craig (Sherry), Union City, Ind., Chad (Jennifer), Portland, Ind., Curt (Jennifer), Ossian, Ind.; a brother, Jerry (Ann), New Weston; three sisters, Shirley (Nick) Wenning, Celina, Karen (Mark) Brooks, Union City, Elaine Witters, Beavercreek; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchldren.
He was employed at Al Ag Services in Fort Recovery, and graduate in 1968 from Mississinawa Valley High in Union City.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, the Revs., Charles Mullen and Dennie Paul officiating. Burial is at St. Paul Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. p.m. Tuesday and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to the Dan Thornhill Benefit in Greenville, or the Center for Neurological Development, Burkettsville.
