Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Galeon Heiby
Galeon D. Heiby, 69, 6760 Debra Ave., Celina, died at 11:10 p.m. Aug. 2, 2008, at the James Cancer Center of University Hospital, Columbus.
He was born July 12, 1939, in Fort Recovery, to George and Bessie Brigner Heiby. On March 27, 1964, he married Marilyn K. St. Myer, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Mickey (Ellen), Perrysville, and Monty (Tammy), Celina; a daughter, Candy (Mike) Weitz, Celina; two sisters, Wilma Jean Heiby and Patricia Boroff, both of Celina; and seven grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother Jerry and his wife, Kay.
He worked at Karch Stone Co., and retired from Crown Corporation, both in Celina. He was a member of the Beaver Chapel Church, Celina. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the transportation division in Berlin.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Christian officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
