Cyril Hausfeld
Cyril L. Hausfeld, 82, of Maria Stein, died at 8:22 a.m. Sept. 14, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born on Feb. 12, 1926, to Albert and Bernardina Wendeln Hausfeld.
Surviving are three brothers, Walter, Celina, Anthony, Fort Wayne, Ind., and Gerald, Piqua; and a sister, Alfrieda Albers, Maria Stein.
Deceased are two sisters, Rose and Mary Ann Depweg.
He worked as a toolmaker at the former New Idea, Coldwater. He graduated from the former Maria Stein St. Johns High School in 1944. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II for two years. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the American Legion, both in Maria Stein.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Gene Schnipke officiating.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster. Burial is at the church cemetery with full military rites held at the graveside.
