Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Berdell Ice
Berdell Mae Ice, 93, 936 W. High St., St. Marys, died at 11 p.m. Sept. 23, 2008, at her residence.
She was born June 6, 1915, in St. Marys, to Ralph and Mina Finke Palmer. On Sept. 19, 1971, she married Kenneth Nagel, who died Feb. 26, 1983. On May 7, 1984, she married Denzil Ice, who died Dec. 16, 1997.
Surviving are a daughter, Roxann (Jim) Sorah, St. Charles, Va.; two stepsons, Bob Ice, Lebanon, and Doug Ice, Vandalia; a sister and caregiver, Ruth Raymond, St. Marys; a brother-in-law, Gilbert "Bud" Ice, St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Izetta Fulton, St. Marys; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
She was the founder and proprietor of Berdell's Dressland, St. Marys, for 35 years. She was a member and past worthy matron of Hawthorne Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, a member of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys, and a 1933 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Maki officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 1-5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
