Robert Grilliot
Robert J. "Bob" Grilliot, 79, Center Street, Versailles, died at 6:20 a.m. Oct. 10, 2008, at Versailles Health Care Center.
He was born May 21, 1929, in Darke County, to Herman and Vena Francis Grilliot. On July 7, 1951, he married Edna A. Huelskamp who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, John (Louise) and Louis (Teresa), all of Versailles, and Herman (Teresa) of Simpsonville, Ky.; two daughters, Rose of Sidney and Margie (Rick) Heitkamp, Versailles; a brother, Earl (Joan) of Versailles; two sisters, Mary Huelskamp, Greenville, and Dorothy (Clarence) Siefring, St. Henry; a sister-in-law, Jean Grilliot, Versailles; and 16 grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Herbert, and a brother-in-law, Lawrence Huelskamp.
He was a farmer and retired after 23 years as a backhoe operator with the Darke County Highway Department. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Frenchtown.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. David Vincent officiating. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery, North Star.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles.
