Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Bernice Smith
Bernice E. Smith, 88,14248 Kohler Road, Wapakoneta, died at 4:45 a.m. Dec. 5, 2008, at the Gardens of Celina.
She was born May 31, 1920, in New Knoxville, to Urban and Louetta Piepmeyer Stienecker. On May 19, 1938, she married John O. Smith, who died March 28, 1997.
Surviving are two sons, Sidney P. (Mary), Celina, and Jerry (Nelly), Wapakoneta; two sisters, Eunice (Robert) Kohlreiser and Grace (Francis) Carmean, all of St. Marys; a brother, Nathan (Georgia Ann) Stienecker, Wapakoneta; and three sisters-in-law, Eileen and Rachel Stienecker, both of St. Marys, and Joyce Stienecker, New Knoxville.
Deceased are four brothers, Roland, Robert, Vernon and Merlin Stienecker; and three sisters, Edith Rosengarten and Viola and Mildred Stienecker.
She was a homemaker and worked at Brodbecks Market in St. Marys. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wapakoneta, and a 1938 graduate of New Knoxville High School.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday a Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Elaine Mikesell officiating. Burial is at Loramie Valley Cemetery near Botkins.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral Home.
