Joseph Borgerding
  Joseph P. Borgerding, 65, 632 Woodland Ave., St. Henry, died at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 1, 2009, at his residence due to leukemia.
He was born Aug. 29, 1943, in Dayton to Ralph "Sparky" and Agnes Schwieterman Borgerding. On July 15, 1967, he married Janice Kaiser, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Christopher (LaRie) Borgerding, Minster, and Anthony (Maria) Borgerding, Cincinnati; a daughter, Kelly (Steve) Keck, Coldwater; a sister Bernice (Dale) Klosterman, Montezuma; two brothers-in-law, Robert (JoAnn) Albers, North Star, and Robert (Betty) Meiring, New Bremen; two sisters-in-law, Janet Borgerding, Dayton, and Irene (Carl) Woeste, Coldwater; and eight grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Barbara Albers and Vivian Meiring; and two brothers, John and Raphael Borgerding.
He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, past commander of Coldwater Veterans of Foreign Wars, member of Coldwater American Legion, and he served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1965. He was employed at the former New Idea Plant, Coldwater, and retired from GKN Sintered Metals, Van Wert.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Benedict Magabe officiating. Burial with full military honors is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
