The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Dorothy Koenig
Dorothy L. Koenig, 92, formerly of Venedocia and a resident at Otterbein of St. Marys, died at 12:55 p.m. Oct. 23, 2009, at Otterbein.
She was born June 22, 1917, in St. Marys Township, Auglaize County, to Ober and Emma Dammeyer Dickman. On Aug. 10, 1939, she married Everett Koenig who died on April 27, 2004.
Surviving are three daughters, Beverly Koenig, Napoleon, Deanna (Paul) Hoadley, Charlevoix, Mich., and Karen (John) Koenig-Herman, Tipp City; a son, Jerry (Laura) Koenig, Venedocia; a brother, Howard (Ruth) Dickman, St. Marys; a sister, Lois Kellermeyer, St. Marys; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Vernon Dickman.
She helped her husband run the family hardware business, Koenig's Home Hardware in Venedocia and was a member of Salem Presbyterian Church, Venedocia, and the New Bremen Historica Association. She was a 1935 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys.
Graveside services are 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen, followed by funeral services at the church at the church. The Rev. Wendy S. Pratt is officiating.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Monday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen.
