Another wave of the flu could be coming though, CDC director says

The H1N1 flu virus appears to be slowing its spread across the country, although top officials warn another "wave" could follow.
In a teleconference briefing Thursday afternoon, director of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention Dr. Thomas Frieden said influenza activity has slightly declined since Oct. 18 when cases hit peak numbers. He noted, however, that widespread activity likely will continue for some time. [More]

MINSTER - Village councilors Tuesday night authorized village administrator Don Harrod to seek legal opinions on the matter of purchasing green power through two proposed hydroelectric projects.
Harrod said the agreement with American Municipal Power (AMP) Inc. comes in a thick packet and he has a number of questions before recommending any action. He did not elaborate on the issues. [More]
