Larry Gottschalk
Larry E. Gottschalk, 63, 506 S. Ash St., St. Marys, died at 1:15 p.m. Nov. 18, 2009, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Dec. 16, 1945, in Mercer County to William and Grace Mohman Gottschalk. On June 3, 1966, he married Sharon A. Slemmer, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, James "Jamey" (Jamie) Gotschalk, St. Marys; and a grandson.
Deceased are two brothers, Norman and C. Eugene Gottschalk.
He owned and operated Gottschalk Construction Company in St. Marys since 1973. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Viet Nam War and graduated in 1964 from Memorial High School, St. Marys.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and the American Legion both in St. Marys.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home and Cremation Service, St. Marys, the Rev. Dr. Ed Bray officiating. Burial, with military graveside honors, is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
