As local residents prepare for Christmas celebrations, Philothea native Eric Dues departs today for Hong Kong for a 61/2 -week self-guided tour of Southeast Asia.

Association's goal is to promote city's shopping, organize events, encourage downtown commerce

A new Celina merchant advocacy group has formed to market the city's shopping, organize special events and discuss ways of encouraging downtown commerce.
The Celina Merchant Association (CMA) is holding monthly meetings open to the public and last month started a new Web site, said CMA organizer Kim Nation, who owns The Potter House downtown. [More]

ST. HENRY - The Celina girls basketball team played a road game for the first time this season on Tuesday night and Bulldogs head coach Brian Stetler had to like what he saw from his team.
Celina used an aggressive defense and had three players in double figures on offense to throttle St. Henry on its home floor with the Bulldogs picking up a convincing 59-37 victory. [More]
