Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Margaret Vagedes
Cranberry Prairie native Margaret "Marge" R. Vagedes, 56, of Gosport, Ind., died at 9:50 p.m. Jan 6, 2010, at her residence. Death was due to natural causes.
She was born June 1, 1953, in Cranberry Prairie to Edward and Rita Kessens Keller. On July 6, 1974, she married Eric Vagedes, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Greg (Amy) Vagedes, Bloomington, Ind.; three daughters, Erica (Kadir) Cakmak and Jessica (Dan) Hoover, all of Bloomington, and Erin (Danny) Webb, Nashville, Ind.; five brothers, John, Richard, Tom, Jerry and Tony Keller, all of Ohio; five sisters, Mary Ann Lajcik of California, Betty Kates of Ohio, Karen Kovac of California, Norma Will of Ohio and Ruth Foster of Arizona; and six grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Rose Keller Lange.
She was a registered nurse at Bloomington Hospital for 30 years and a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Spencer, Ind.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Revs. Paul Dede and Bill Ehalt officiating. Burial is at Chambersville Cemetery, Spencer.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer.
