Karen Scheid

Celina native Karen Sue Scheid, 68, of Roanoke, Va., died March 26, 2010, at Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem, Va.

She was born Nov. 10, 1941, to Clarence and Edna Hunziker.

Surviving are three children, Betty (Ted) Crouch, Roanoke, Mark Scheid, Laguna Beach, Calif., and Kathy (Mark) Welhaf, Ono Island, Ala.; a brother, Robert (Peg) Hunziker; a sister, Nancy (Robert) Chaney; and four grandchildren.

Deceased are a brother, Carl Hunziker, and a sister, Betty Rule.

She was a graduate of Celina High School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Salem, Va., and taught Sunday school.

Services will be 1 p.m. April 24, 2010, at the church, the Rev. Bobby Pickle and Dr. D. Michael Houff officiating.
