State ACME Tournament

CELINA - There were some nerve-racking moments, but the Celina ACME team survived the weekend at the 2010 State ACME Baseball Tournament.
After losing 4-2 - and nearly being no-hit - in their opening game against Anthony Wayne on Saturday, the Bulldogs kept their season alive with a win over Bellefontaine Powerbuilt on Sunday. Celina scored four times in the first inning, then held on for dear life before ending Bellefontaine's summer with a 6-5 win in an elimination game. [More]

Winds, heat and rain could not stop participation
CELINA - The 2010 Lake Festival went very well overall considering the wind Friday, the heat Saturday and the morning rain Sunday, festival co-chair Michelle Emerine reported this morning.
CELINA - Former Celina boys basketball coach Dean White will be remembered for two things by those who followed the Bulldogs during his 10 years of guiding the Green and White.

The Grand Lake Mariners were able to extend their win streak to three games, but quickly saw it end as they split a Saturday doubleheader against the Lexington Hustlers on Saturday, as the Mariners now stand at 14-18 on the season.
