Vonda 'Jean' Burke
Vonda "Jean" Burke, 77, Lima, died at 8:02 p.m. Oct. 10, 2010, at her home.
She was born May 18, 1933, in Mousie, Ky., to Linzy and Fanny Tuttle Mosley. On April 18, 1953, she married Olden Burke, who died June 8, 2000.
Survivors are a daughter, Penny (Terry) Cutler, Columbus; seven siblings, Wanda (Don) Francis, St. Marys, Lovella (Sterling) Marcum, Louisa, Ky., Roshella (John) Calhoun, Lima, Earl (Imalee) Mosley, Garner, Ky., Carl (Roseann) Mosley, Hindman, Ky., Carlos (Rita) Mosley, Lima, and Gary (Georgia) Mosley, Lima; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Also deceased is a sister, Nancy Everage.
She worked as a cafeteria supervisor for Ross Laboratories in Columbus. She attended the Garden of Love Old Regular Baptist Church in St. Marys. She had belonged to the Stow Center Southern Baptist Church, where she was active in the women's ministry.
Funeral rites are 11 a.m. Friday at the Hindman Funeral Home in Hindman, Ky., Brother Gary Mosley officiating. Burial will be at the Calhoun and Gayheart Cemetery in Hindman.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and all day Thursday at Hindman Funeral Home in Hindman, Ky.
