Leo Moore
Leo B. Moore, 85, St. Marys, died at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 11, 2010, at the Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys.
He was born Aug. 25, 1925, in Piqua to Thomas and Helen Hartman Moore. On June 9, 1947, he married Margaret Wilhelm, who survives.
Also surviving are five children, Gary (Mary Ellen) Moore, Wapakoneta, Michael (Linda) Moore, Wapakoneta, Sharon (Jim) Schmitt, Whitehall, Mich., Dale (Marilyn) Moore, Wapakoneta, and James (Linda) Moore, Bellefontaine; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Thomas Moore.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the Fighting 69th Division during World War II. He retired from Minster Machine Company after 31 years as a milling machine operator. He attended Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys. He was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post 9289 and the Fighting 69th Organization.
Funeral Rites are 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys, the Rev. William Maki officiating. Burial with military honors is at Resthaven Memory Gardens in St. Marys.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
