* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Jeanne Meade

Jeanne L. "Nute" Meade, 57, Union City, died at 10:55 p.m. Dec. 12, 2010, at her home.

She was born Sept. 15, 1953, in Greenville, to Robert and Norma Cain Braun. Robert Braun, her stepfather, Dan Cooper, and her mother, Norma (Lee) York, survive in Greenville. On April 25, 1970, she married Johnny Meade, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, David (Ruthi) Meade, Union City, and Terry Meade, Arcanum; a daughter, Angel (Aaron) Orr, Union City; four siblings, Cheryl (David) Lipps, Greenville, Robert (Susan) Braun, Columbus, Douglas Braun, Greenville, and Jodi (Jake) York, Union City; and five grandchildren.

She worked at Cooper Farms as a meat processor.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville, the Rev. Doug Krauss officiating.

Calling is 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the State of the Heart Hospice.
