Minnie McMichael
Minnie Ann Sharpe McMichael, 83, Mendon, died at 1:40 a.m. Dec. 13, 2010, at The Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.
She was born Aug. 7, 1927, in Willshire, to George and Edna Clay Sharpe. On June 30, 1945, she married Stanley L. McMichael, who died May 30, 1990.
Surviving are two sons, Rudy (Carol) McMichael, North Richland Hills, Texas; Galen (Karen) McMichael, Mendon; a daughter, Sheryl (Jerry) Ellis, Mendon; a daughter-in-law, Laurie Collender, Delaware; a brother, George (Lois) Sharpe, St. Marys; two sisters-in-law, Madonna Sharpe, Mendon, and Virginia Sharpe, Decatur, Ind.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Also deceased is a son, Craig McMichael; and four brothers, Laverl, Paul, Minos and Jason Sharpe.
She was a homemaker and worked at Goodyear and Huffy. She was a member of the former Anderson Bethel Church of God near Mendon.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon, the Revs. Don Clinger and Dean Bruce co-officiating. Burial is at Mendon Cemetery in Mendon.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Mendon Union School Building Fund or a charity of the donor's choosing.
