Anna Evers

Anna M. Evers, 95, St.Henry, died at 8:40 p.m. July 17, 2011, at Gardens at St. Henry.

She was born Jan. 11, 1916, in Philothea, to Joseph and Mary Osterholt Homan. On Oct. 8, 1941, she married Florence A. Evers, who died May 16, 2005.

Surviving are four sons, John (Mary Jean) Evers, Sharpsburg, Rev. Linus Evers, C.PP.S, Carthagena, Ralph (Irene) Evers, Coldwater, and Mark Evers, St. Henry; a sister, Cleopha (Aloys) Link, Sharpsburg; two sisters-in-law, Marcella Homan, Philothea, and Lillian Homan, Coldwater; 20 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a son, Joseph; three bothers, Paul, Arnold and Clete Homan; a sister, Juletta Huelskamp; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Evers; and two granddaughters.

A member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and the Ladies Rosary Altar Sodality, she was a lifelong member of Knights of St. John Auxiliary, Maria Stein, and was a hospital volunteer.

Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Henry Catholic Church, burial will follow in St. Wendelin Cemetery.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.

Memorials may be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
