Fort Recovery native Rick Derringer, born with the surname of Zehringer, plays "The Star Spangled Banner" on Saturday at The Fraze Pavilion in Kettering as part of Hippiefest 2011. Derringer - who has played with Johnny Winter and Edgar Winter - was introduced to subsequent generations of rock fans when his hit song "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo" was featured on the "Dazed and Confused" soundtrack in 1993 and the Guitar Hero video game franchise.
