The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 900 AM EDT.
* At 606 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Ohio, including the following counties, in central Ohio, Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Madison and Union. In west central Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across parts of the area this morning, possibly extending into early afternoon. This may result in bands of heavier rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

David McMaken
David Lee McMaken Sr., 77, Versailles, died at 6:05 a.m. July 5, 2012, at Versailles Health Care Center.
He was born April 18, 1935, in Miami County to Millard and Etta Hennessey McMaken. On July 30, 1960, he married Flora J. "Tiny" Todd, who survives in Versailles.
Also surviving are eight children, Linda (Jeff) Pitsenbarger, Versailles, LaNell "June" (Matt) Holscher, Russia, MarNell (Tim) Schmiesing, Anna, David Jr. (Shirley) McMaken, Versailles, Kevin (Ann) McMaken, Piqua, Nathan McMaken, Russia, Shawn McMaken, Maria Stein, and Melissa (Aaron) Seger, Russia; a sister-in-law, Alice McMaken, Springfield; 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Bernard McMaken.
He worked at Superior in Russia, Argosy in Versailles and as a salesman for Fuller Brush Company. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. David Vincent officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles.
Memorials may be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
