The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Robert Katterhenry
Robert E. "Red" Katterhenry, 87, Wapakoneta, died at 11:26 p.m. Aug. 22, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Dec. 25, 1924, in Wapakoneta to Gus and Daisy DeLong Katterhenry. On Jan. 9, 1945, he married Anna Hay, who died Feb. 12, 2004.
Surviving are a son, Kevin (Anna) Katterhenry, Celina; a daughter, Michel Wilds, Scottsdale, Ariz.; two sisters, Shirley Baughman, Wapakoneta, and Betty (Bob) Keller, Wapakoneta; a sister-in-law, Frieda Hay, St. Marys; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are a brother, Dick Katterhenry; three brothers-in-law, Dan Hay, Dick Baughman and Dick Longemeyer; and a sister-in-law, Mary Alice Longemeyer.
He was a graduate of Blume High School in Wapakoneta and served in the Army during World War II. He fought in the battle of Iwo Jima with the 147th infantry.
He worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 17 years and was the founder and operator of Snack Time Restaurant for 18 years. He then co-owned Rino and Red's Auto in Celina. He was a member of the St. Marys Idlewild Club, Wapakoneta Veterans of Foreign Wars, Elks Lodge, Eagles and St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wapakoneta.
Funeral rites are 3 p.m. Sunday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Becky Sunday officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is noon-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
