The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Louis Wagner
Louis F. Wagner, 79, Piqua, died at 7 p.m. Aug. 22, 2012, at the Koester Pavilion in Troy.
He was born April 8, 1933, in Bryant, Ind., to Raymond and Veronica Minch Wagner. He was married to his first wife, Carol Murphy, for 42 years before her death. In 2000, he married Jeanette Dugger Bowers, who survives.
Also surviving are seven children, Larry (Chris) Wagner, Cleveland, Cyndi (Mike) Conte, Marion, Greg (Jackie) Wagner, Lauderhill, Fla., Darla (Dave) Muhleman, Centerville, Kevin Wagner, Xenia, Kimberly (Ted) Rolf, Troy, and Christopher James Wagner, Troy; four stepchildren, Richard Bowers, Piqua, Robbi Schwable, Piqua, David (Bonnie) Bowers, Cincinnati, and Mark (Becky) Bowers, Troy; seven sisters, Betty Laux, Bryant, Barbara (Walter) Weigel, Coldwater, Trudy Poling, West Milton, Ruth (Richard) Houser, Bryant, Virginia (Roland) Chacon, Land-O-Lake, Fla., Connie Lehman, Coldwater, and Judy (Perry) Miller, Union City, Ind.; three brothers, Jim Wagner, Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., Edward (Susie) Wagner, Celina, and Donald (Janet) Wagner, Portland, Ind.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchilren.
Deceased are four brothers and a sister.
He was a 1951 graduate of Bryant High School. He retired from Reynolds & Reynolds, Dayton, in 1996 after more than 38 years of service. After retirement he worked at Green Tech in Troy for six years.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, and attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Piqua.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday at Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home, Piqua, the Rev. Thomas Bolte officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.
Calling is noon-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Miami County or the Alzheimer's Association.
