Florian Heitkamp

Florian G. Heitkamp, 78, Celina, died Sept. 29, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

He was born Sept. 29, 1934, in Trinity, Ind., to Henry and Thresia Homan Heitkamp. On Sept. 12, 1959, he married Virginia Kunkler, who survives.

Also surviving are seven children, Bob Heitkamp, Celina, Carol (Keith) Jones, Maria Stein, Marilyn (George) Epperson, Russia, Mark Heitkamp, Celina, David Heitkamp, Newport News, Va., Diane (Brent) Smith, Portland, Mich., and Marie (Jason) Broering, St. Henry; three sisters, Janet Luthman, Minster, Verene (Victor) Kramer, Osgood, and Joan (Ron) Buschur, Celina; in-laws, Dorothy Schott, Fort Wayne, Ind., Ralph Kunkler, Carthagena, Stella (Herb) Siefring, Coldwater, Henry Jr. (Ruth) Kunkler, Burkettsville, Joann Kunkler, Carthagena, and Evelyn Kunkler, New Weston; and 14 grandchildren.

Also deceased are a brother, Lavern Heitkamp, and in-laws, Don Luthman, Ted (Martha) Kunkler, Rosemary (Warren) Olson, Robert Schott, Don Kunkler and Fred Kunkler.

He belonged to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and the former Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Anthony. He retired as a farmer.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
