Ruth Burch
Ruth Ann Burch, 56, McCartyville, died Sept. 30, 2012, during a pilgrimage to Mejugorje, Croatia.
She was born Nov. 3, 1955, in Sidney to Cletus and Mary Ruth Homan Hoying, who survive in McCartyville. On Oct. 5, 1984, she married Gale Burch, who survives.
Also surviving are her children, Andrew and Rebecca, both at home; siblings, Mark (June) Hoying, Angie (Tom) Albers and Anita (Jack) Billing, all of McCartyville; her father-in-law, Buss (Cheryl) Burch, Lakeview; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Doug (Kay) Burch, Jackson Center, Dan (Marcia) Burch, Lakeview, Tim (Holly) Burch, Lakeview, and Joyce (Ron) Carr, Pittsburgh Pa.
Deceased is her mother-in-law, Betty Jean Burch.
She belonged to the Rosary Altar Sodality, flower committee, and CCD education committee at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville, where she also served as cantor. She was employed at Billing Insurance.
A Mass of Christian Burial is pending.
Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, is handling arrangements.
Memorials may be given to the Shelby County Right to Life.
