Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Melvin Leugers
Melvin Donald Leugers, 74, Celina, died at 1:34 p.m. Dec. 17, 2012, at Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
He was born Jan. 12, 1938, in Neptune, to Henry and Nellie Schwartz Leugers.
Surviving are two sons, Donald (Dawn) Leugers, Celina, and Scott (Teresa) Leugers, Celina; one daughter, Linda (David) Eichler, Celina; a brother, Robert (Marlene) Leugers, Celina; and seven grandchildren.
Also deceased are his brother, Lloyd (Ruth) Leugers, and his sister, Betty (Short) Agler.
He served in the U.S. Army in 1961-1963, and formerly worked at Mersman Brothers and New Idea. He donated his body to the University of Cincinnati.
A Memorial Gathering is 2-6 p.m. Thursday at his daughter's home, 209 Portland St., Celina.
Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, is handling arrangements.
Memorials may be given to State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice.
