Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Thomas Cross
Thomas G. Cross, 65, formerly of St. Marys, died at 7:21 a.m. Dec. 15, 2012, at Ohio Veterans' Home, Georgetown.
He was born Sept. 3, 1947, in Lima, to Harry and Doris Goodwin Cross.
Surviving are a son, Travis (Caroline) Cross, Marietta, Ga.; two daughters, Tessa (Todd) Trail, Dallas, Ga., and Stephanie Cross, Cincinnati; a sister, Lesta (Carl) Thoene, St. Marys; and six grandchildren.
He served aboard the USS Meredith in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as an electrician for the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, and owned and operated the former Horseshoe Creek Motorcycle Race Track in Montezuma and Buckos Carry Out and Arcade, St. Marys.
He was a member of Eagles Lodge Aerie #767, St. Marys.
Funeral services are 2 p.m Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Jim Sweigart officiating. A private burial for the family will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Calvary Christian Fellowship, St. Marys.
