John Shinn
John Shinn Jr., 76, Dunnellon, Fla., died May 29, 2013, at Lakefront Village Campground in Wapakoneta, following a sudden illness.
He was born May 23, 1937, in Mercer County, to John and Laura Pond Shinn.
He married Sondra Myers Shinn, who died April 21, 2013.
Survivors include two children, Teresa (Jon) Rockey of West Palm Beach, Fla., and John Michael (Arlene) Shinn III of Stockton, Calif.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Marie Shinn, and a sister, Virginia.
He was a self-employed industrial sales representative and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and the Ohio Founding Fathers. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Joint memorial services for John and Sondra were 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sidney. Burial will be at a later date in the St. John Catholic Cemetery, Fryburg.
