Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight. The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today. Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing. Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.
ST. MARYS - Enrollment at St. Marys City Schools has remained level despite concern recent cuts would lead parents to move their children to other districts.

A 38-year-old Fort Recovery man found possessing items stolen from an unmarked sheriff's cruiser is headed to prison.
Paul H. Hiser, 202 Gwendolyn St., was sentenced Wednesday in Mercer County Common Pleas Court to 17 months in prison on a fourth-degree felony count of receiving stolen property, and 11 months in prison on a fifth-degree felony count for receiving stolen property.
