Robert Orick Sr.
Robert G. "Gene" Orick Sr., 63, Celina, died July 12, 2014, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Nov. 16, 1950, in Fonde, Ky., to Emmett and Myrtle Mason Orick, who are deceased.
Surviving are a son, Robert (Erin) Orick II, Portsmouth, Va., and a brother, Jerry (Kye) Orick, Celina.
Also deceased are a twin brother, Clifford Dean Orick, and two sisters, Faye Hoover and Lavada Rodriguez.
A graduate of Celina High School, he served with the U.S. Army for 18 years, including service during the Vietnam era. He later worked as a truck driver. He was a member of Abounding Grace Ministries, Celina, and a life member of Celina VFW Post 5713. He enjoyed collecting classic movies.
A memorial service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Rick Brosher officiating. Military rites conducted by the VFW and Celina American Legion Post 210 will follow.
W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, has charge of arrangements.
