Phyllis Frericks
Phyllis L. Frericks, 94, Minster, died at 7:20 p.m. Oct. 30, 2014, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born April 28, 1920, in Minster, to Julius and Frances Gerwels Schmieder. On Feb. 22, 1941, in Minster, she married Clifford Frericks, who died May 5, 1989.
Surviving are children Barbara (Don) Farnsworth, Venice, Fla., Dianne Voskuhl, Minster, and Jan (Judy) Frericks, Minster; grandchildren, David Farnsworth, Nancy Farnsworth, Tess Abbott and Rod Frericks; great-grandchildren, Cody and Dustin Frericks; and a sister, Beverly Barhorst, Fort Loramie.
Also deceased are a son-in-law, Ralph Voskuhl; a sister, June
Kuenning; and a brother, Kermit Schmieder.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, and she enjoyed playing bridge.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at St. Augustine Cemetery.
Calling is 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
