Mary Ann Meyer
Mary Ann Meyer, 89, Coldwater, died quietly at home, as she wished, on Jan. 24, 2015.
She was born Dec. 9, 1925, in Newport, to Frank J. and Emma Boerger Borchers. On May 9, 1948, she married Roman L. Meyer, D.V.M., who survives in Coldwater.
Also surviving are five children, Susan (Chuck) Aplin, Melbourne, Fla., Jacque Meyer, Celina, Sandra (Aaron) Tian, Raleigh, N.C., Jeff (Anita) Meyer, Weeki Wachee, Fla., and Roman Meyer, Coldwater; a daughter-in-law, Peg Meyer of California; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Orville Borchers, Versailles, Alfred (Mildred) Borchers, Minster, and Cyril (Dotty) Borchers, Centerville; one sister, Norma Reardon, Middletown; and two sisters-in-law, Pat Borchers and Marty Borchers.
Deceased are her eldest son, Bill Meyer; a granddaughter, Denise Meyer; five brothers, Urban (Elfrieda) Borchers, Paul (Cecelia) Borchers, Jim (Bette) Borchers, Ken (Dory) Borchers and Dick Borchers; three sisters, Frieda (Floyd) Monnin, Hilda (Ben) York and Betty (Bob) Hibner; a brother-in-law, Ed Reardon; and two sisters-in-law, Marlene Borchers and Marcella Borchers.
She attended school in Russia. In addition to being a mother and housewife, she assisted in her husband's veterinary practice. She was a lifetime member of the Phi Beta Psi sorority and Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
She was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and loved watching Fox News. She was well-loved for her easy-going personality and positive outlook on life. She will be sadly missed by her many family members and friends.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Memorials may be given to State of the Heart Hospice.
